Who is Parrot Nanny?
- Gayle Reece, aka Parrot Nanny, has a long history
with birds. She started way back with cockatiels (breeding and hand feeding
the babies) and eventually added larger parrots to her flock.
Her “final flock” includes a wonderful Blue and Gold Macaw named Molly, a
feisty and playful Scarlet Macaw named Lucy, a persistent and demanding
Umbrella Cockatoo named Josey Wales, a very judgmental and reprimanding
Congo Grey named Buster, a remarkable male Slender Billed Cockatoo
named Chauncey, and two beloved and very long lived cockatiels, BJ and Lacy.
Gayle was manager of Feathered Follies Exotic Birds for the first four years
of its existence in Walnut Creek, California.
Gayle was Assistant Editor of The Companion Parrot Quarterly magazine
for five years just prior to starting Parrot Nanny.
